Static hung like wet heat crackles until Quincunx took the stage last night at Seattle's Studio Seven...All Ages Show brought out all the Ambers, Ashlees, and Tiffanys under the age of consent this city has to offer...filling my head with graphic stabbings and showers in blood while they shimmied and screamed for the attention of their long armed pimply teen boyfriends...Quincunx has total mastery over the power of distraction as they laid into their set, sped up like a thrilling car crash pile up that leaves you dizzy and gasping...and moving with the music. I've exhausted accolades for Kickass Ass Kickin' bassist Matt Bird...what can be said that hasn't been said except that dude totally kicks more ass than ass can be kicked when it comes to manhandling his bass...leaving the crowd awestruck, gap-mouthed, and swooning...
